Discover Davidson Abroad

Discover Davidson Abroad

Twice a year, the OEAA invites some of our most popular partner organizations to campus to talk to students and answer questions about education abroad and away.  Usually held outside by the Chambers flagpole, this is a great chance for students to learn more about their program options!  Students should also be on the lookout for information sessions about Davidson programs.

Gilman Workshop

Gilman Scholarship Workshop

The Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship is an important opportunity for students receiving the Pell Grant.  Join OEAA staff each semester for an interactive workshop which will answer your questions and provide guidance on preparing a competitive application to this exciting program.

Bubble tea

Welcome Back Bubble Tea

At the start of each semester, all students returning from off-campus study programs are invited to join the OEAA for a delicious and refreshing bubble tea!  Stop by our office to chat about your experiences and mingle with other returnees.  We will share exact event information on WildcatSync and via email to alumni.

Reentry

Time to Unpack: Study Abroad Reentry & Career Development

A joint initiative of the OEAA and the Betty and B. Frank Matthews II ’49 Center for Career Development, this student-centered workshop provides returned study abroad participants with a chance to reflect upon their time away and learn how to leverage their experiences on their resumes and in interviews for jobs or graduate school.  A must for anyone seeking to maximize the impact of their program and stand out from the crowd!

Alumni Panels

Alumni Panels

The OEAA frequently arranges alumni panels of returned students so they can share their experiences with the campus community.  Topics may range from general study abroad to more focused topics such as identity abroad, mental health, scholarship applications, internships, and more.

Interested in arranging or taking part in a panel?  Contact us at edabroad@davidson.edu!

Global Up

GlobalUP! Certificate

The AFS Global Competence Certificate (GCC) is a blended learning program that develops tangible global skills essential to live, work, and make a real social impact around the world.  The OEAA, with support from Dean Rusk, is able to offer this program to a cohort of students over winter break.
